A Good Day for a Good Boy

Waitlist Exclusive
You lucky human. I’ll tell ya, I know a thing or two about treats, and today’s post is a real doozy. It’s about time you got to meet the brains of this Boboperation – ME.

My human (the other humans call him Don, I think) was very busy this week getting everything ready for an upcoming “product lunch”, so I volunteered to write this (actually, I was promised treats if I was a good boy – as if Bobo’s not a good boy, seriously – come to think of it, where are those treats…??) and I could think of no better topic than to tell you what things have been like around this office from my perspective.I guess things are going pretty good. Every time my human marks a piece of work as done, I get a treat, and lately things have been very good for me. The humans do the work, and I get the treat. This is definitely a Bobo-approved business arrangement, and, I have to say, a model that companies everywhere should get onboard with.

It does mean some long hours, though. No problem for me, really: I get all the naps a doggo could possibly want. And there’s constantly people walking by my Boboffice who stop for some fur therapy. I kinda wish we could go outside more often – I just know I’ll be able to scare off that guy in the big brown truck one day for good – but my human makes up for it at home. He sure makes a lot of annoying tapping sounds on that black rectangle on his desk at work every day, though. Humans are weird.

I will say, the mood around here has noticeably changed recently. The other humans are starting to get more excited about all this music sharing stuff, and I can tell they’re getting ready for something big. Must be the lunch. I mean, I get it. Who doesn’t get excited about lunch?! Well, except for this one guy who says I’m getting too many treats as it is. Whatever, human. I’m not Boboverweight, I’m just a little husky (ha!).

None of it would have happened without me, of course. Not to squeak my own toy, but I’ve been crucial to this project. I’m pretty sure my human would have been involuntarily committed by now if it weren’t for me, and the other humans are definitely more willing to put up with his neurotic nature when I’m around. The services I provide to this office are priceless. You know, literally. I’m not on the payroll. I’m doing this out of the goodness of my own Bobo heart.

All I know for certain is that I’d better get invited to this big lunch. He’s been talking about it for weeks! He says this lunch could completely change how people practice their music. I don’t follow. Lunch is just lunch. Must be a weird human thing.

Note from Bobo’s human (Jon, not “Don”): I had a lot of fun taking dictation from today’s guest author, and I hope you enjoyed this little injection of light-heartedness. Bobo really does keep us all smiles around here. I can barely contain my satisfaction with how well this project is wrapping up, and if all continues on this trajectory, we’ll be bringing you some excellent news in a couple short weeks (no lunch provided, sorry). Keep your dial tuned to this channel for more of the inside scoop!

Finale

Bobo came to MakeMusic in the summer of 2019. Now at retirement age, he mostly spends his time begging for treats from his office pals and lying in the hallway waiting for passersby to give him a scritch or a scratch. He can also be found on one of the couches in the Finale team area during impromptu meetings offering his belly for a good rub, or barking at the UPS delivery man between sniffing sessions through the lawn in front of the building.
