In my travels I speak to many Finale users, and it’s rare that I meet someone who does – but when I do they’re very excited about it.
Ever used “SmartFind and Paint”?
In my travels I speak to many Finale users, and it’s rare that I meet someone who does – but when I do they’re very excited about it.
At this year’s Texas Bandmasters Association convention I presented a Finale clinic for about 150 band directors. When I asked who knew about the QuickStart Videos, seven people raised their hands.
Okay, I have a pretty niche topic for you today. Someone recently asked me: “How do I set up my score to not use key signatures, but to instead show all accidentals next to the notes?” It seems like keyless scores are becoming a convention in modern atonal music, or for scores with frequently changing tonal centers.
Last time I talked about “Tom’s Top Ten Tips” but only got through three of them. I will get back to the rest, I promise, but first I wanted to share a story with you.
Okay, I hear you…You want TIPS. I loved this blog response, put so well and applicable to so many of us; “I find myself in a Finale rut, using the same old methods…” Ain’t it the truth!
