Finale Blog: A Treat for Halloween and Beyond

Looking for some last minute Halloween fun? The latest version of Finale 2012 includes some great “spooky” solo titles. To find them, go to Finale’s File menu and select “Open Worksheets & Repertoire”>Repertoire>Holiday Patriotic>Instrumental.

There you’ll find 14 Halloween-themed titles, mixed in with other holiday-themed pieces. These files were added with a Finale 2012 update, which is free to all owners of Finale 2012, so if you don’t see this music you may need to update your version of Finale 2012. To make sure you’re not missing out on any of the fun (including many signifgant improvements), download the latest fre Finale update from our downloads page.

To find the same spooky music collection in SmartMusic, go to Find music, type the word “spooky” and click Search. Select the instrument, click on a title and click Open. That song and the rest of the collection will be downloaded to your computer. After that, you can then find the collection in My Library>Solos.

To fully get you into the spirit, check out the photos of Halloween fun in the MakeMusic offices at the Finale Facebook page.

I hope you regard these holiday titles, photos, and free updates as sufficient treats, so you are not compelled to give me a trick, which, in our neighborhood, frequently results in masses of toilet paper being draped from our trees.

Happy Halloween!
