Audio Units
Audio Units (AU) is an interface for integrating software audio synthesizer plug-ins such as Finale's included Aria Player for Finale with Garritan sounds. Finale supports all AU instrument plug-ins. Audio Units and similar technologies use Digital Signal Processing to simulate traditional recording studio hardware with software. Thousands of plugins exist, both commercial and freeware.
You can assign instruments included in Audio Units plug-ins to Finale channels using the Audio Units Instruments dialog box.
To manage Audio Units plug-ins, use the Manage Audio Units Plug-ins dialog box.
