Troubleshooting
Why can I only see the first page of the music?
We show you the first page of any piece of music so that you can be assured that
the piece you're buying is indeed the piece you want. However, all pages after the
first require you to buy the piece before you can print it out. Once you purchase
a piece of sheet music, you will be able to view all of the pages and play back
all of the music.
Why can I only hear the first 30 seconds of the piece?
The publisher specifies how long, how many measures, or how many pages can be heard in
preview mode. Once you purchase a piece of sheet music, you will be able view all the
pages and play back all of the music.
Why do the Play, Tempo, Volume or Key change buttons work in some files and not in others?
The publisher can configure the files to allow play back and key change capabilities or not.
When playback or key changes are not allowed the buttons are disabled.
Why isn’t there any music on my printout?
Do not press the Print button at the top of your browser window, or select Print
from the File menu, or type Command-P or Ctrl+P. These commands will print the web
page and not the music. Instead, press the Print button on the Finale Viewer toolbar
(immediately above the music).
Why is no paper coming out of the printer?
Check that your printer is turned on, contains paper, and is plugged into your computer.
If this does not work, please check your computer or printer manual.
What happens if my printer runs out of paper?
With most printers, you can usually just feed in some more paper and it should continue
printing.
Why am I getting the error message “Incompatible version”?
This error message appears when you are using an older version of the Finale Viewer
to display a file saved in a newer version of Finale. Update to the latest version
of the Finale Viewer.
I'm using FireFox and I don't see the Viewer? What's wrong?
Sorry, but FireFox is not supported.
