Help Menu
The Help Menu lets
you view the documentation for Finale Dialog boxes, Menus and palettes.
You can also display the help system for a particular menu command or
dialog box by pressing F1.
- User Manual. Choose Table of Contents, Keyboard Shortcuts, Jazz Character Maps, Maestro Character Map, or What's New to launch the corresponding topic of the SongWriter User Manual.
- Quick Reference Guide. Choose this command to open a PDF of the Quick Reference Guide, which offers a concise, visual introduction to all of SongWriter's main features.
- QuickStart Videos. Choose this menu item to launch a separate application that will show you basic functionality in Finale via a video on your computer monitor. The video is narrated and shows how to access tools and menus throughout the programs. If you don't like to read tutorials and manuals, this video is for you.
- SongWriter Website. Choose this menu item to go to the SongWriter Website for information about SongWriter and MakeMusic Notation Products.
- Authorize SongWriter. Choose this menu item to authorize your copy of SongWriter with MakeMusic via the Internet. Authorized Users of SongWriter have access to Technical Support and notification of future updates and upgrades.
- SongWriter Trade-up. Choose this option to trade-up to Finale.
- Check for SongWriter Updates. Choose this menu item to view the latest updated version of SongWriter from MakeMusic via the Internet. These updates can be downloaded to registered users.
- About SongWriter. This dialog box displays the user's name and serial number along with the current software version number and ways to contact Customer Support.
To view this dialog box, go to the Help Menu and choose About SongWriter.
