Print
How to get there
From the File menu, choose Print.
What it does
This dialog box lists several printing
options, which vary depending on your printer. You can specify, for example,
which pages of the score you want to print, and how many copies.
- Printer. From this popup menu, choose the desired printer. Note that if you have more than one printer, OS X defaults to "Any Printer." In this case, Letter Small, a size that is universally supported, is automatically chosen for the page size (which may cut off copyright information, slurs, or other items at the bottom of your score).
- Presets. From this popup select from a list of custom settings. To save the current set, from this popup menu, choose Save As, enter a name, and click OK.
- Fit to Page. Check Fit to Page to automatically scale the music to fit on the chosen page size.
- Print Display Colors. Check Display Colors to print the colors used by PrintMusic to identify the different score elements. Note that if you do not have a color printer, this will only print in shades of gray.
- Reverse Order.Choose this option to print pages in
reverse order - from the last page to the first.
- Preview. Click Preview to display the music as it will appear on the printed page.
- Save as PDF. Choose this option to save your document as a PDF (Portable Document Format) file. See Adobe PDF Files for more PDF information.
- Print • Cancel. Click Print (or press return) to print. Click Cancel to dismiss the dialog box without printing.
