Zoom in/Zoom out

To zoom in and out

Or,

  1. Click the Zoom Tool image\Zoom_Tool.gif.
  2. Click the music. Finale enlarges the spot you clicked. To zoom out, press CTRL and click (or, if you haven’t switched to the Zoom Tool, press CTRL) and click the right-button. Finale ‘stops’ at the following view percentages when zooming in and out: 10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900, 1000.

This technique works only in Page View.

To enlarge a selected area

  1. Click the Zoom Tool  image\Zoom_Tool.gif.
  2. Drag across the music, creating a dotted-line rectangle. When you release the mouse, Finale enlarges the enclosed portion of the display, just enough to fill your monitor.

To zoom in/out by a specific percentage

  1. Choose View > Zoom.
  2. Choose a preset percentage, or set any percentage from 5 to 1000 by choosing Other from the submenu (or pressing CTRL+0). See Keyboard Shortcuts-View menu.
