Use the override key and a context menu to
do this easily. These steps apply to all “intelligently linked” items.

To
hide an item in the score (and leave it showing in parts)
From the Document menu, choose Edit Score
to navigate to the score.
Hold down CTRL,
and right-click
the item and uncheck Show.
