Zoom in/Zoom out
To zoom in and out
- Press Ctrl++
and Ctrl+-(minus)
keystrokes at any time to zoom in and out. There is no need to
select the Zoom tool.
Or,
- Click the Zoom Tool .
- Click the music. Finale enlarges the
spot you clicked. To zoom out, press ctrl and click (or, if you haven’t
switched to the Zoom Tool, press ctrl) and click the right-button.
Finale ‘stops’ at the following view percentages when zooming in and out:
10, 25, 50, 75, 100, 125, 150, 200, 300, 400, 500, 600, 700, 800, 900,
1000.
To enlarge a selected area
This technique works only in Page View.
- Click the Zoom Tool .
- Drag across the music, creating a dotted-line
rectangle. When you release the mouse, Finale enlarges the enclosed
portion of the display, just enough to fill your monitor.
To zoom in/out by a specific percentage
Choose Zoom from the View menu. In the
resulting submenu you can choose a preset percentage, or set any percentage
from 5 to 1000 by choosing Other from the submenu (or pressing Ctrl+0). See Keyboard Shortcuts-View
menu.
