This listing contains all the General MIDI percussion tones used in the for African Marching Percussion MIDI Map. Finale’s African percussion sounds are available when SmartMusic SoftSynth is chosen as your MIDI Out device in the MIDI Setup dialog box. You must also ensure "African Percussion" is selected for the percussion staff under the Perc. MIDI Map column of the Instrument List window (SmartMusic SoftSynth submenu). This is configured automatically when you choose a African Percussion staff from the Setup Wizard. Use the pre-designed African Percussion Input Map to easily enter African Percussion sounds and appropriate noteheads. For information regarding how this map is used for input and playback, see Percussion Input Map dialog box. You can view or edit MIDI notes in the Percussion MIDI MIDI Map Editor dialog box.
