To
hide an item in the score (and leave it showing in parts)
Use the override key and a context menu to
do this easily. These steps apply to all “intelligently linked” items.

- From the Document menu, choose Edit Score
to navigate to the score.
- Hold down Command,
and Ctrl-click
the item and uncheck Show. (In
other words, hold down both Comamnd and Ctrl while clicking the item and
uncheck Show.) The item is now set to show in the parts but not
the score.
